OPAL is formed from rain. We are not sure EXACTLY how this process goes, but many believe it is formed when water from rain seeps down into crevasses in the rock. Once the water evaporates, the silica that is left behind dries out and hardens into precious.  On the more metaphysical side, it can sooth and clear the emotional body, and boosts the will to live and the joy of one’s earthly existence.
